About Borneo for Christ
Borneo for Christ was established by local missionaries, native Christian leaders, and a few supporters from America in 2003.
Borneo for Christ Team in Borneo
Our Goal
At the present time, evangelism of Christ to adult is very dangerous. Therefore, we meet target young children and student through high schools and introduce the Gospel and His salvation. We reach out to them with the bible and help them to grow in Lord so that they may be future Christian leaders and native missionaries for their own people.
What We Do
Here are some of the mission work that we do:
- Evangelize to all school children and to those of higher education
- Train native missionaries for their own people
- Operate children centers (orphanages) for future Christian leaders
- Operate Theological Seminary for native missionaries or pastors
- Plan local churches
- Train short-term mission teams
Situation in Borneo, Indonesia
About 200 million people (85% of the population) in Indonesia are Muslim. The majority (60%) of them are moderate, the other 20% are semi extremists, the last 20% are true extremists, but this report can be different according to different areas. This means something very important: It is almost impossible to evangelize Muslims in the Middle East but it is possible in Indonesia. It surely not easy… it takes time and great effort, but it is still possible!!!
Our mission team (currently 22 members) in Borneo is working very hard everyday to let them know about Jesus. Now we need to build a mission center to train a total of 1,540 native Indonesian missionaries (140 full time missionaries and 1400 part time missionaries) in Borneo. We will send them to all major cities and provinces. At this moment, we have purchased a land (we will share the space with a native church that needs to build a church) to build it, but now we really need funds to build the mission center as soon as possible.
Please pray for us and support us so that this special project can be completed soon.
