Why Borneo, Indonesia?

Borneo is the 3rd largest island in the world where 3 different countries are located: Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei.

Indonesia is the largest Islamic country in the world; Malaysia and Brunei are Islamic as well. In Borneo, there are about 150 tribes that should be evangelized as soon as possible.

Here are some facts about Indonesia:

  • About 200 million people (85% of the population) in Indonesia are Muslim.
  • The majority (60%) of them are moderate, the other 20% are semi extremists, the last 20% are true extremists, but this report can be different according to different areas.
  • This means something very important: It is almost impossible to evangelize Muslims in the Middle East but it is possible in Indonesia.
  • It surely not easy... it takes time and great effort, but it is still possible!!!
